Call for presentations

NORDIC CONFERENCE ON AURAL DISCIPLINES IN HIGHER MUSIC EDUCATION

10 – 12 October 2012
Norwegian Academy of Music, Oslo, Norway

The Norwegian Academy of Music and the staff of aural training disciplines would like to invite to a conference on aural disciplines in higher music education. The conference will be the second Nordic gathering since 1988 in Copenhagen (!). The main aim is to explore the musical ear and the teaching and research connected with aural training – and of course to have a gathering of Nordic colleagues! The conference will offer:

• Spoken presentations of research paper, research report or academic thesis. (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions)

• Spoken presentations or recent textbooks or new initiatives and development connected with teaching practice. (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions)
• Speed presentation on reflections on the conference topics (5 minutes with following discussions)

• Demonstrations / workshops

• Shared meals and conference dinner
